AD, Envi Health and Safety -- Austin, TX

  This position reports to the Corporate Health and Safety Manager. The ideal candidate will oversee all aspects of health and safety programs at PPD's Austin locations, including the collaborative implementation of such programs with onsite management.  

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

- BS in Industrial Hygiene and Safety or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience that provides the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the job.
- Two to five years' experience in Industrial Hygiene and Safety; clinic, lab or healthcare preferred.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

-Thorough knowledge of OSHA, EPA, DOT, ICAO, NRC, etc., and Workers' Compensation requirements.
-Working knowledge of air monitoring strategies.
- Strong problem-solving, presentation and communication skills including verbal and written.
-Ability to provide effective training.
-Computer proficiency and good business acumen.
