August 14: The IH Value Proposition
Elizabeth received her B.S. degree in Biology from Tufts University in 1976 and her M.S.P.H. in Industrial Hygiene from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 1982. Elizabeth has over 25 years experience in comprehensive industrial hygiene practice. She worked at IBM for 11 years and is currently the Industrial Hygiene Manager for the Clariant Corporation. Clariant is a global specialty chemicals company based in Muttenz , Switzerland , with products for a wide variety of industries.
She is a Past Chair of the Exposure Assessment Strategies Committee of AIHA and was President of the Carolinas local section in 1994. In 2000, she received the Warren Cook Award from the Carolinas Section of AIHA and in 2007 received the AIHA Fellow award. She served as a Director on the AIHA Board from 2003-2006 and is currently serving as Secretary for the Board of AIHA.
Abstract
The AIHA update will cover current issues being discussed by the Board of Directors, including our international role, the efforts to recruit students and early career professionals and efficient operation of the LQAP (Lab Quality Assurance Program). The Value of the Profession (VoP) overview will include a description and outcome of the study, and an explanation of the model and tools that will be available.
