Texas Hill Country AIHA (THC - AIHA) members are dedicated to the anticipation, recognition, evaluation, and control of contaminants and stressors that may cause sickness, impaired health and well-being, or significant discomfort and inefficiency among workers and the general public. Serving Austin, Texas and the surrounding area, the THC - AIHA presents technical programs several times a year. Membership is beneficial to individuals with an interest in industrial hygiene, occupational health and safety, environmental sciences and related fields of public health. Membership in the national AIHA is not a prerequisite for joining the Section. Many THC - AIHA members have earned the designation of Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) by the a American Board of Industrial Hygiene. Chapter and Industry News
